CHRISTMAS GIVING???
“Yes!” I would invite you to invest your time and money into this ministry to which the Lord has called me.
Having said that, however, I think it only fair for you to know where I invest my time and money. There are two basic questions that I always ask myself.
#1. Will this ministry help hurting people? #2. Will this ministry give God the Glory?
Jesus didn’t just come that first Christmas to help hurting people. After all, his mom and dad themselves we’re homeless. He came not just to “do good” BUT to “Glorify God”. (Lk. 2:14; Mt. 5:16; Jn. 15:8; Rom. 15:6; 1 Cor. 6:20; 2 Thess. 1:12; 1 Peter 4:11) The Holy Spirit may speak to me about a specific person or need but, generally speaking, I don’t invest ABUNDANTLY in a kettle, a bucket or even an offering plate if I’m not sure that God (not men) will receive the Glory. Wise business people won’t invest in something that won’t bring a worthy “return on investment”. The Church and her People should be so wise!
PLEASE HOLD ME TO THE SAME STANDARDS. After prayerfully considering my request of you to become part of my “Home Team”, please do whatever the Holy Spirit tells you to do. And may you have a “Joyous Christmas and a Glorious New Year!”
